Permitted Use

You may use the Extension for:

Prohibited Uses

6Extension Functionality

WhatsApp Web Only

The Extension is designed to work exclusively with WhatsApp Web (web.whatsapp.com) in Chrome and other Chromium-based browsers. The Extension does not work with:

  • WhatsApp Desktop application
  • WhatsApp mobile applications
  • Other messaging platforms

Website Opening on Install/Update

When you install or update the Extension, it will automatically open a new browser tab to the project website (https://www.sqtech.dev/projects/whatsapp-direct-message). This is done to provide you with information about the Extension. You can close this tab at any time.

Promotional Content Display

The Extension may display promotional content for the developer's own projects or websites. This content is fetched from a GitHub repository and is self-promotional only. No third-party advertising networks are used.

No Guarantee of Functionality

While we strive to maintain compatibility, we cannot guarantee that the Extension will:

  • Work with all future versions of WhatsApp Web
  • Function correctly if WhatsApp Web changes its interface
  • Be available at all times
  • Work without errors or interruptions

7Intellectual Property

Extension Ownership

The Extension, including all code, design, functionality, and documentation, is owned by the developer. All rights are reserved.

WhatsApp Trademarks

WhatsApp is a trademark of Meta Platforms, Inc. This Extension is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by WhatsApp or Meta Platforms, Inc.

User Content

The Extension does not collect, store, or transmit any user content. Phone numbers entered are processed locally and immediately discarded after use.

8Limitation of Liability

No Warranty

The Extension is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to:

  • Warranties of merchantability
  • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • Non-infringement
  • Accuracy or reliability

Limitation of Damages

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

WhatsApp Account Restrictions
