1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing and using the HistoryGuard Pro Chrome browser extension ("Extension"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not install or use the Extension.

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the HistoryGuard Pro Chrome browser extension operated by SQ Tech ("us", "we", or "our").

2. Extension Functionality and License

HistoryGuard Pro is a Chrome browser extension that provides browser history control through two main features:

• Complete History Blocking: When enabled, prevents ALL new browsing history from being recorded

• Keyword-Based Filtering: Blocks new history entries containing specific keywords in page titles or URLs

The Extension is licensed under the MIT License, granting you rights to use, modify, and distribute the Extension subject to these Terms and the MIT License.

3. Data Processing and Privacy

HistoryGuard Pro operates entirely locally on your device and does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information to external servers. The Extension:

• Processes your browser history data locally in real-time

• Uses Chrome's built-in storage API to save your preferences and keyword lists

• Immediately deletes matching history entries without storing them

• Does not access or modify any data outside of browser history functionality

4. User Responsibilities and Limitations

You are responsible for:

• Understanding that the Extension permanently deletes browser history entries

• Using the Extension in accordance with your local laws and regulations

• Keeping your Chrome browser updated for optimal compatibility

• Understanding that deleted history cannot be recovered through the Extension

• Using the Extension responsibly and not for malicious purposes

• Ensuring you have proper authorization to use history-blocking features in your environment

5. Technical Requirements and Limitations

The Extension requires:

• Chrome browser version 88 or higher

• Chrome extension permissions for 'storage', 'history', and 'tabs'

• Local storage space for user preferences and keyword lists

Limitations include:

• Cannot recover deleted history entries

• Only affects new history entries, not existing ones

• Requires manual configuration of keywords for filtering

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Extension is provided 'as is' without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

• That all history entries will be blocked as expected

• Compatibility with all websites or browser configurations

• Recovery of any deleted history entries

• Uninterrupted operation of the Extension
